Fundraiser to Feature Top Colorado Springs Chefs

Twenty local chefs to cook for a worthy cause in early March

The Zonta Club of the Pikes Peak Area's third annual Glass Slipper Ball on Saturday, March 7, will feature top local chefs. The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. Twenty chefs will come from such restaurants and caterers as Amuze Bistro, Amuse’ Gourmet, Bayou BBQ, Blue Sage Catering, Craftwood Inn, The Antlers Hilton, Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Garden of The Gods Gourmet, Jake & Telly’s, Jun Japanese Restaurant, The Melting Pot, Margarita at Pine Creek, MacKenzie Place, Othos, Serranos, Walter’s Bistro, Plate World Cuisine, Whole Foods, Alpine Chef, The Blue Star, Mozaic Restaurant at the Inn, The Village at Skyline and The Crowne Plaza Hotel. The People's Choice Awards will honor the favorites.

Zonta supports projects to advance the status of women worldwide and locally, the domestic violence agency acronymed TESSA is slated to be one of the recipients of the funds. The local Zonta chapter has been recognized for its commitment to human trafficking awareness - and is one of the most prolific women’s organizations in town.Tickets are $85 ($750 for a table of 10). Early-bird pricing is in effect through February 7 for this event that generally sells.
